Ten Outstanding Students of Bicol (TOSB)

AKO BICOL Party List, a regional political party catered towards the enhancement and improvement of the lives of Bicolano people all over the Philippines and abroad in partnership with Commission on Higher Education Regional Office first launched the Search for Ten Outstanding Students of Bicol back in 2009.

The search is open to all Bicolano students enrolled in the different Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) within and outside the Bicol Region who have shown exemplary performance in scholarship, leadership and service. Moreover, the search aims to give recognition to the hard work and contribution of Bicolano students to local and national development efforts, which are contributory to the visions of AKB and CHED.

For the last 5 years TOSB has 50 tosb winners and 55 finalists and 245 applicants. To name some of them:

  1. Top winner batch 1 RJ Competente from University of Nueva Caceres and now a teacher at Tinago National High School and Studied Masters of Science and Environmental Sciences at University of Nueva Caceres.
  1. Top winner batch 2 John Elmar Templonuevo from Catanduanes State College now a Content Developer for English at C & E Publishing Inc and studying Master of Arts in Language and Literature Major in Literature at De La Salle University
  1. Top winner batch 3 Marlon Pontillas from Unersity of Saint Anthony and now a College Instructor at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges Nabau Campus and studying Master in Arts in English at University of Nueva Caceres
  1. Top winner batch 4 Shannah Marie Montales from Divine Word College of Legazpi and now a college professor at Ateneo De Naga University.
  1. Top winner batch 5 John Paul L. Abe from University of Nueva Caceres Naga City Camarines Sur and now a college professor at his Alma Mater.
