Ako Bicol Vowes to Support Efforts to Improve Agri-Aqua Industries in the Entire Bicol Region

Ako Bicol and other stakeholders vowed it’s support for measures to improve the overall level of agricultural and aquatic technologies and services in the entire Bicol Region in the recently held opening ceremony of the 3rd Bicol Agri-Aqua Fair 2019 organized by the DZGB-AM and PBN Organizing Body last October 28, 2019 at the Ayala Malls in Legazpi City. In a speech by Congressman Alfredo A. Garbin Jr., he reiterated Ako Bicol’s efforts in Congress to ensure that enough funding is secured for the implementation of measures that will help boost economic growth and develop services that would allow small-scale farming and fishing industries to freely compete in a level playing field.

It is also noteworthy that Albayanos avail local agricultural products and services to help create a strong local economic atmosphere in the region that is often ravaged by natural calamities. Ako Bicol believes that awareness of the youth along with the support of the government and other sectors is a key in creating a well-established agricultural and fisheries industry that would also serve as one effective tool in combating poverty in the entire region.
