AKO BICOL strongly condemns the rampant illegal logging activities in Catanduanes which were recently foiled by the elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
Given that illegal logging and deforestation play a huge role in climate change, it is imperative that every Filipino takes a proactive stance against any activity that will endanger not only the lives of Filipinos today, but of the future generation as well.
Keeping in mind the welfare of our children, AKO BICOL calls on each of its constituents to be vigilant against illicit activities, especially when it involves the denudation of the forests in Bicol, and the depletion of the province’s natural resources.
