Deputy Minority Leader and Ako Bicol Party List Representative Alfredo A. Garbin, Jr. joins the hearing by the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs to look into the issues following the discovery of a “mega shabu laboratory” in Catanduanes, and continue the inquiry on House Resolution No. 585 which seeks to direct concerned agencies to intensify and coordinate their efforts to suppress the trafficking of illegal drugs within the country.
Legislative inquiries serve as a tool in order for legislators to make wise decisions in crafting future measures and to determine whether or not the existing laws adequately address social issues, especially those that compromise peace and progress in the country.
