AKO BICOL Representative Rodel Batocabe attended the House Committee on Metro Manila Development to discuss about the legislative measure filed to grant the MMSA additional powers and function to address policy gaps in issuance of permits for the development of land and infrastructures. if the legislative measure is enacted into law, MMDA would have the authority to review development permits.
AKO Bicol earlier filed HR 475 which seeks to investigate the unabated, unplanned, and unsound land development in Metro Manila which worsened traffic conditions and contributed to urban blight.
