In spite of the outpouring disaster relief assistance coming in, still thousands of families are displaced and suffer from lack of basic necessities like food, water, and health care. In its effort to expand the assistance to the rest of the region, including far-flung communities, AKO BICOL Party List, has also facilitated series of relief operations that will provide for the basic needs of hundreds of families in the islands of the region. The family food packs were distributed to the indigent and most vulnerable families in Bato, Catanduanes last December 29.
This is only one of the many endeavors that we take in order to respond to the needs of the people following the destruction brought by a natural disaster. It is only through genuine public service through immediate disaster response that we ensure safety and recovery amongst the victims.
