AKO BICOL files Resolution to grant special calamity loan to “Nina” victims

AKO BICOL Party List filed a House resolution which seeks to urge GSIS, SSS, Pag-Ibig Fund, as well as public and private banks and financial institutions to formulate and grant special calamity loan packages for the victims of Typhoon Nina, which tore houses down, destroyed power installations, and displaced hundreds of thousands across the country.

The regions of Bicol, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Eastern Visayas have already incurred damage worth P681,244,632.00, and leaving 37,271 families displaced following the devastation.

The resolution is in acknowledgement of the dire straits that the victims are in today, and providing a government-initiated loan assistance program will be of great help as they continue to rebuild their homes, rehabilitate their livelihood and other sources of income, and acquire medical services and pay for the same, thus, finally helping them get back on their feet.
