In spite of the overwhelming disaster relief efforts coming in, thousands of families still suffer from lack of basic necessities including food, water, shelter, and basic health care. In response, AKO BICOL Party List, in partnership with Pilipinong may Puso Foundation through Ms. Wen Velasco, facilitated series of relief operations that will provide for the basic food necessities of thousands of families across the region.
Rep. Alfredo Garbin, Jr. personally led the distribution of family food packs in Brgy. Tinago, Ligao City, where hundreds of families lost their homes after Supertyphoon Nina’s pounded the area on Christmas day.
This is only one of the many endeavors that we take in order to respond to the needs of the people following the destruction brought by a natural disaster. It is only through genuine public service through immediate disaster response that we ensure safety and recovery amongst the victims.
