| Book Distribution: Reintegrating the Culture of Reading |
AKO BICOL Party List formally turned-over hundreds of textbooks and other supplementary reading materials to Naga National High School, Tiwi, Albay on Friday, November 18, 2016. Ako Bicol Party List Representatives Rodel M. Batocabe and Alfredo A. Garbin Jr. personally spearheaded the said ceremonial turn-over to express their genuine support in the said academic endeavor.
The distribution of materials, dubbed as “Aklat sa Kaunlaran ng Bicol”, was a commitment in partnership with Children International, Inc., a program envisioned to reintegrate the culture of reading among students despite the modern and advanced technology of today. The program aims to encourage more students to take continued interest in education and realize its importance in molding one’s character as they continue to chase after their dreams and build a better future ahead of them.
This is yet another step towards our vision of creating Access to Quality, Affordable, and Well-rounded Education!
