| AKO BICOL’s STEP: Creating Opportunities through Technical-Vocational Programs |
AKO BICOL, in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) ROV, facilitated the closing ceremonies, and turn-over of toolkits to AKO BICOL Scholars under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) on Friday, November 18, at the Municipal Terrace, Brgy. Iberica, Labo, Camarines Norte. Competency programs include Motorcycle and Small Engine Servicing, and Bread and Pastry Production NC-I.
AKO BICOL Reps. Rodel M. Batocabe and Alfredo A. Garbin, Jr. personally joined the completion program, and they also inspired the graduates by giving their message that emphasized the importance of technical skills in most of the industries across the world that require special skill competencies and how skill-based opportunities changed the lives of many through the years.
These technical and vocational programs, through skills development, improve one’s employability and create alternative livelihood opportunities that will give everyone the chance to finally take the first step towards his dreams.
