5th Bicol Tourism and Food Expo: Promote in Bicol, Sell in Bicol!

AKO BICOL Party List Rep. Rodel M. Batocabe spearheaded the ribbon-cutting during the opening ceremony of the 5th Bicol Tourism and Food Expo on Thursday, September 15, at the SM City Naga Event Center. He formally opened the annual celebration which aims to showcase the distinct identity of Bicolandia’s immerging tourism, agriculture, and culinary that never cease to be recognized across the world.

In a message, Rep. Batocabe said “It is our responsibility to support our local tourism and agriculture as these are two of the most important industries that provide employment opportunities, economic stability, and food security, which are all contributory to regional development”.

“Bicol has always been an agricultural region with great tourism opportunities, rich in local agricultural crops and products, and natural tourist destinations that require stronger government support to sustain the growth and development of the sectors involved primarily by empowering the stakeholders, improving their awareness and skills toward agricultural and tourism sustainability”, he added.

Gracing the event, Rep. Batocabe was also joined by Department of Agriculture (DA) Dir. Elena Delos Santos, Department of Tourism (DOT) Dir. Maria Ravanilla, PBN Executive Vice President and BITFEX Project Director, Mr. Glenn Barcelon, and PBN President, Brenda Locsin.
